Entry guidelines and application form
Purpose of the Park
Technology Park was opened in 1985 under provisions of the Technology
and Industry Development Act 1998.
The Park is an important catalyst for science and technology developments
in Western Australia and many of the State's science and technology
companies are based there.
Technology Park has developed an international reputation as a
leader in the establishment and management of science and technology
parks.
Park administration
The Government of Western Australia, through the Department of
Commerce, administer the Park, located in Bentley.
New tenant applications are assessed by the Department and recommendations
are made to the Minister for Commerce; Science and Innovation; Housing
and Works.
Entry criteria
Tenancy is opened to early-stage or established innovative technology
firms and service organisations which support these firms.
Under the Industry and Technology Development Act 1998, the Minister
for Commerce, Science and Innovation considers all lease applications,
extensions and transfers of land in the Park. In order to secure
the Minister's approval, applicants seeking entry to the Park should
give careful attention to their Tenant Application Form and ensure
compliance with the above criteria.
Purchase and/or ground lease of Technology Park land
Limited options remain to purchase vacant or developed land (either
held by the State or privately owned) at the Park.
Companies wanting to purchase and/or ground lease land need to
submit a Development Application to the relevant local Council and
Technology Park management.
On Certificates of Title for land within the Park, certain covenants
apply. Contact Burgess Rawson (WA) Pty Ltd
for full information before lodging a Development Application.
